Body
WHEREAS, Charles Iseman the long-serving law enforcement leader who served as the Chief of Police for the Grandview Police Department in Missouri, officially retired on Friday, May 22, 2026; and,
WHEREAS, Chief Iseman dedicated 35 years to the City of Grandview and in May 2011, he stepped into the role of Chief of Police, where he served for 15 years; and,
WHEREAS, before ascending to Chief, Iseman worked across multiple operational areas starting in 1991, serving as a patrol officer, SWAT operator, undercover detective, patrol sergeant, investigations lead, and administration division commander; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his career, Chief Iseman extended his leadership to regional organizations, serving on the executive boards of the Jackson County Drug Task Force and the Metro Chiefs & Sheriffs Association; and,
WHEREAS, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from the University of Central Missouri, and he is a member of Alpha Phi Sigma (the National Criminal Justice Honor Society); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Jackson County Legislature recognizes Chief Iseman for his contributions to the community of Jackson County.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
