BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:
Description: A 5± acre tract of land generally located 1/4 of a mile west of Hillside School Road on the south side of Cummings Road lying in the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 48, Range 20 in Jackson County, Missouri and more specifically described as:
That part of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 48 North, Range 29 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said South Half; thence Westerly on the North line of said South Half, 986.65 feet to the Northwest corner of a tract of land conveyed in Warranty Deed document no. I-795814 in book I-1717 of page 1952 and the point of beginning; thence Southerly on the West line of said tract being a line 330.00 feet West from, and parallel with the East line of the West Half of the Southeast Quarter of said Southeast Quarter, 660.00 feet; thence Westerly on a line 660.00 feet South from and parallel with the North line of said South Half, 330.00 feet; thence Northerly on a line 330.00 feet West from and parallel with the West line of said Tract, 660.00 feet to the North line of said South Half; thence Easterly on said North line, 330.00 feet to the point of beginning, except that part in Cummings Road right of way (Tract contains 5,000 acres including that part in right of way).
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of William David Hulse (RZ-2002-272), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on June 20, 2002, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
