IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $23,000.00 from the fund balance of the 2008 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to restore the 2006 funding level to Guadalupe Center, and authorizing an amendment to the current contract with Guadalupe Center, at a cost to the County not to exceed $23,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, in fiscal year 2006, Guadalupe Center failed to comply with fiscally related funding requirements, and because of that failure the former COMBAT Commission recommended that its treatment funding be reduced by more that 20%, or $23,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, at the time County staff assured Guadalupe Center that if the reimbursement forms which Guadalupe had failed to properly fill out were appropriately completed for the deficient period, the previous level of funding would be restored; and,
WHEREAS, due to staff turnover, this commitment was never fulfilled and Guadalupe's revised status was never reported or recorded; and,
WHEREAS, the Executive Transition team recommends this expenditure to fulfill the prior commitment; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the funds in the appropriate spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the fund balance of the 2008 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
