AN ORDINANCE appropriating $6,090.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 County Urban Road System Fund and authorizing total payment of $6,090.00 to certain property owners for acquisition of right-of-way and temporary construction easements in settlement of claims for damages in connection with the Longview Road at Blue Ridge Project, No. 2075-3, Tracts Nos. 42 and 51.

WHEREAS, it has become necessary, in connection with the Longview Road at Blue Ridge Project, No. 2075-3, Tract Nos. 42 and 51, to acquire a right of way and temporary construction easements over, and to cause certain damage to, the property of Century 21 Crest Realty, Inc., and John Gannon, in the amounts of $800.00 and $5,290.00, respectively, said property being more fully described in the conveyance instruments, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and,
WHEREAS, the owners have agreed to convey said right of way and temporary construction easements, and to settle the claims for damages and have executed these conveyances in favor of the
County in consideration of the total payment of $6,090.00; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the 1995 County Urban Road System Fund: DEPARTMENT/DIVISION CHARACTER/DESCRIPTION FROM TO
Unappropriated Surplus 6,090 Division of Administration Public Works Dept. County Urban Road System Kansas City City Projects 6,090
and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Manager of the Division of Finance issue two separate checks, one payable to Century 21 Crest Realty, Inc., for $800, and one payable to John Gannon for $5,290.00, and that the checks be delivered to the Department of Public Works, Kaye Merkle, Engineering Division, for appropriate disposition.
Attorney Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
