AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 12 + acre tract.

ORDINANCE 2979,   December 6, 1999

 

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

A 12 ± acre tract of land generally located 1/4 of a mile north of Stringtown Road on the east side of Hedgecock Road and more specifically described as:

 

Commencing at the S.E. corner of the S.W. 1/4 of Section 28, Township 47, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri; thence North along the East Line of said 1/4 section 456.78 feet (deed) 456.48 platted; to the S.E. corner of "Shady Oaks Country Estates" a subdivision of record in Jackson  County, Mo.; thence West along the South Line of said "Shady Oaks" to the S.W. corner thereof; said S.W. corner being the True point of beginning of this tract; thence N 89°55'56" W for 790.06 feet to a point on Hedgecock Road that is the N.W. corner of "Vansandt Subdivision:, a subdivision of record in said Jackson County.  Thence N 19°36'06" E along said road for 386.69 feet; thence N 21°39'55" E for 146.28 feet; thence N 30°05'00" E for 270.70 feet; thence N 23°03'51" E for 77.88 feet; thence S 89°54;46" E and departing said road, for 472.63 feet to the N.W. corner of said Shady Oaks Country Estates; thence S 2°18'30" W for 806.98 feet to the point of beginning.  Containing 11.99 acres in all.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Roger Jurgensmeyer (RZ-99-172), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on November 18, 1999, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
