WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 12194, dated April 27, 1998, enter into a contract with Superior-Bowen Asphalt Company of Kansas City, MO, in the amount of $1,053,316.35, for the 1998 Road Surface Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project, No.2370; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to adjust various quantities due to the addition of seven roads, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $281,986.51; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1998 Special Road and Bridge Fund be made to cover the cost of Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Superior-Bowen Asphalt Company of Kansas City, MO:

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
