AN ORDINANCE appropriating $5,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2014 Health Fund and authorizing an addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $5,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18053, dated January 7, 2013, the Legislature did authorize a Cooperative Agreement with Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to provide for a "Healthy Business/Healthy Residents" program for 2013 at a cost to the County in the amount of $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18359, dated January 6, 2014, the Legislature did authorize a Cooperative Agreement with Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to provide for this program for 2014 at a cost to the County in the amount of $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce did not utilize its allocation from 2013 and requests those unspent funds be reallocated for its 2014 agreement; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation within the 2014 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
