A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the City of Kansas City, MO to permit the City to utilize certain County parking facilities for Sprint Arena event parking for specified fees payable to the County.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City desires to provide for patron parking at Sprint Arena events after the normal business hours for most County operations; and,
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay the County a minimum sum of $60,000.00 for the use of certain County parking facilities for the partial year beginning October 1, 2007, through May 31, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the City further agrees to pay the minimum sum of $180,000.00 for the use of these facilities for two annual periods from June 1, 2008, through May 31, 2010, all as set out in the attach Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the proceeds from this Agreement will be used to cover the cost of parking for County employees; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the City of Kansas City.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
