Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has a continuing need for catering services; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has solicited bids for the furnishing of catering services; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-three (33) solicitations were distributed and three (3) responses were received of which one (1) was "No Bid". The following two (2) bids were received:

Grandview, MO
On the Border Catering $713.70
Lee's Summit, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing recommends a split award for catering services in order to provide a variety of quality, prices, products and services from which customers of the Parks and Recreation Department may choose; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts to Robinson/Brancato of Grandview, MO and to Brinker Missouri, Inc. d/b/a On the Border Catering of Lee's Summit, MO as the best bidders; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that awards be made to Robinson/Brancato of Grandview, MO and to Brinker Missouri, Inc. d/b/a On the Border Catering of Lee's Summit, MO, and that the Director of Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
