Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 30-01 for the purchase of one bottom dump trailer for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following:

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be awarded to Highway Trailer Sales, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this bottom dump trailer has rendered one existing 1996 Texas Bragg 18' Trailer, Model#162LEO, Serial #17XFC1829T1964106, as surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this trailer by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the specified existing trailer be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
