AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 10 ±  acre tract.

ORDINANCE  # 3242,    April 2, 2002

 

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description:  A 10 ± acre tract of land generally located 1/4 of a mile south of U.S. Highway 50, east of Missouri 7 Highway and west of Lone-Jack-Lee's Summit Road and more specifically described:

 

A tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section 17, Township 47, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri being more particularly described as follows:  Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter, Thence N1°50'37"E along the West line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 1322.72 feet, to the Point of Beginning; Thence continuing N1°50'37"E along the West line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 440.31 feet; Thence N89°47'18"E, a distance of 884.55 feet to a point on the westerly Right of Way line of Lone Jack-Lee's Summit Road (as now established); Thence S24°19'00"E along said westerly Right of Way line, a distance of 482.29 feet to a point on the South line of the North one half of said Northwest Quarter, Thence S89°47'18"W along the South line of Said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 1097.22 feet; to the Point of Beginning.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Don Rosenberger (RZ-2001-256), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on March 21, 2002, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
