Body

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written  bids on Bid No. 106-00 for the furnishing of industrial engine parts and service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

 

WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:

VENDOR

 

                                                                                                         Northeast Lawnmower

                                                                                                             Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

 

                                                                                                         Sumpter Small Engines

                                                                                                             Sumpter, SC

and,

 

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Northeast Lawnmower of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount.  The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
