Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded a VOCA-Victim Advocacy grant in the amount of $45,411.00 to the Family Court Division to cover the salary and benefits for a victim advocate for its Victim Advocacy Program; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to an in-kind match from volunteer services in the amount of $5,591.00 and a local match of $5,762.00 which will be provided by the Child Protection Center; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund:
