Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 30-04 for tree maintenance and removal for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon, bids from the following:
VENDOR
Asplundh Tree Expert Company
Lenexa, KS
Shawnee Tree Service
Shawnee, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Asplundh Tree Expert Company of Lenexa, KS for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best overall bid as set out in the attached recapitulation and analysis; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Asplundh Tree Expert Company of Lenexa, KS; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
