IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 12-99 for the monitoring and repairs of park alarms for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to Strong Alarm of Overland Park, KS, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated amount of $10,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION 12597, March 22, 1999 INTRODUCED BY Fred Arbanas, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 12-99 for the monitoring and repairs of park alarms for use by the Parks and Recreation Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following: Total Annual Monitoring Fee Mark-up% Response Bidders For Comparable Locations On Parts Time Alarms By Sterling, Inc. $5,616.00 30% 24 hrs. Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Strong Alarm $5,673.00 20% 8 hrs. Overland Park, KS Jade Alarm Company $6,960.00 50% 2 hrs. Kansas City (Jackson County), MO and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Strong Alarm of Overland Park, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specifications; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
