Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded a grant in the amount of $51,080.69 by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Youth Services, for the period of July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to fund the School Based Prevention and Diversionary Program, which seeks to provide the best educational opportunity for "at risk students" through the engagement of parents, circuit court judges, schools, family court staff, and the community at large; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the fund balance of the 2009 Grant Fund:
