BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE, a tract of land commonly known as 20904 E. Blue Mills Road, Independence, MO, and specifically described as follows:
Description: All that part of Tract B, as shown on Certificate of Survey recorded as Document Number 2015E0014490, being in the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 50, Range 31, in Jackson County Missouri, more particularly described as; Commencing at the Northeast corner of said quarter section; thence North 87 degrees 48 minutes 11 seconds West, along the North line of said quarter section, a distance of 542.62 feet, thence South 02 degrees 11 minutes 49 seconds West, a distance of 345.54 feet, to the Point of Beginning; thence South 88 degrees 14 minutes 10 seconds West, a distance of 231.50 feet; thence South 01 degrees 45 minutes 50 seconds East, a distance of 91.90 feet; thence South 58 degrees 09 minutes 29 seconds West, a distance of 154.91 feet; thence South 31 degrees 50 minutes 31 seconds East, a distance of 41.39 feet; thence South 58 degrees 09 minutes 29 seconds West, a distance of 93.30 feet; thence South 30 degrees 40 minutes 55 seconds West, a distance of 55.20 feet, to a point on the Southwesterly line of Tract B, also being the Northwesterly line of Tract A, as shown on the Certificate of Survey recorded as Document Number 2015E0014490; thence South 59 degrees 19 minutes 05 seconds East, along the Southwesterly line of said Tract B, a distance of 194.30 feet, to a point on the North right-of-way line of E. Blue Mills Road, as now established; thence along a curve to the right, (said curve having an Initial Tangent Bearing of North 77 degrees 43 minutes 07 seconds East, a radius of 994.84 feet), along the North right-of-way line of said Blue Mills Road, an arc distance of 245.83 feet; thence South 88 degrees 07 minutes 25 seconds East, along the North right-of-way line of said Blue Mills Road, a distance of 46.52 feet; thence North 01 degrees 45 minutes 50 seconds West, a distance of 391.19 feet, to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of the Fred and Betty Stewart and Kurt and Jennifer Pearson (RZ-2015-519), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 7 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on July 16, 2015, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
