AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette) a certain 31± acre tract, and approving the preliminary plat "Luttrell Estates," creating a six-lot residential subdivision.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 31± acres are located approximately one mile North of Snow/Faulkenberry Roads on the West and South side of Spainhour Road and specifically described as a tract of land in the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 1, Township 47 North, Range 30 West of the 5th principal meridian, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as: 

 

Description: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of Section 1, Township 47 North, Range 30 West; thence South 01̊42'11" West, along the East line of the Southeast quarter, a distance of 1350.72 feet, to the Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of said Southeast quarter of Section 1; thence South 83̊48'24" West, along the South line of the Northeast quarter of said Southeast quarter, a distance of 1034.99 feet; thence north 04̊33'51" East, a distance of 808.41 feet; thence North 01̊32'51" East, parallel to the West line of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 1, a distance of 544.57 feet, to a point on the North line of said Southeast quarter; thence North 83̊34'15" East, along said North line, a distance of 996.32 feet, to the point of beginning of the herein described tract of land.

 

 

Section 2.  The preliminary plat "Luttrell Estates," creating a six-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.

 

Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Brent Thompson (RZ-2007-442), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on October 18, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
