Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need for a replacement bridge along the Little Blue Trace Trail over West Fire Prairie Creek, located in Independence, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 25-033 for the construction of a replacement bridge over the West Fire Prairie Creek on the Little Blue Trace Trail; and,
WHEREAS, notifications were distributed and viewed through Bonfire, with two (2) responses received and evaluated from the following:

North Kansas City, MO
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award of a contract for the construction of a replacement bridge on the Little Blue Trace Trail over West Fire Prairie Creek to Realm Construction, Inc. of Blue Springs, MO, as the lowest and best bid received; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
