Body
WHEREAS, Summit Christian Academy (SCA) is an independent, nondenominational Christian school providing a college preparatory Christian education to over 1,200 preschool through twelfth grade students from over 207 area churches; and,
WHEREAS, SCA is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International, ensuring a high standard of education and preparing students for college; and,
WHEREAS, SCA offers a comprehensive program that encompasses academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and a supportive environment, enabling students to discover and achieve their God-given potential; and,
WHEREAS, SCA is dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of its students, offering a wide range of programs that promote character building, leadership skills, and a sense of community; and,
WHEREAS, SCA junior students Tony Bu, Elissa Hesman, and Anna Hammond recently participated in the Blue Ridge Festival math competition; and,
WHEREAS, these SCA students demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, resulting in securing first place in the team competition, showcasing their collaborative skills and mathematical prowess; and,
WHEREAS, Tony Bu achieved outstanding success in the individual competition at the festival math competition, earning first place; and,
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the SCA students at the festival math competition mark the third consecutive year that SCA has brought home medals; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends its heartfelt congratulations to Summit Christian Academy and its students Tony Bu, Elissa Hesman, and Anna Hammond, for their remarkable achievements in the calculus component of the Blue Ridge Festival math competition; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature commends Summit Christian Academy for its commitment to providing a quality education that fosters excellence, inspires students to reach their full potential, and prepares them for future success.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
