Body

WHEREAS, on November 2, 2010, Will Kraus was elected to the Missouri General Assembly, representing the 8^th Senatorial District in eastern Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, Will's platform of fighting for economic development, small businesses, families, and education helped him earn seventy-nine percent of the popular vote; and,

WHEREAS, Will is committed to the people of Missouri, striving for openness, honesty, and the highest ethical standards; and,

WHEREAS, Will, a captain and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army Reserve, served in Iraq as an air mission commander in charge of missions involving multiple aircraft and currently serves as a battalion S4 supply officer; and,

WHEREAS, Will has a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Central Missouri where he graduated summa cum laude; and,

WHEREAS, Will's public service includes serving for six years as a representative in the Missouri House of Representatives representing the 48^th District; and,

WHEREAS, Will is supported in his achievements in public service by his wife Carmen and his sons Tylor and Tannor; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Will Kraus on his election to the Missouri State Senate representing the 8^th District, and wishes him much success in the future.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
