WHEREAS, on November 2, 2010, Will Kraus was elected to the Missouri General Assembly, representing the 8th Senatorial District in eastern Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, Will's platform of fighting for economic development, small businesses, families, and education helped him earn seventy-nine percent of the popular vote; and,
WHEREAS, Will is committed to the people of Missouri, striving for openness, honesty, and the highest ethical standards; and,
WHEREAS, Will, a captain and helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army Reserve, served in Iraq as an air mission commander in charge of missions involving multiple aircraft and currently serves as a battalion S4 supply officer; and,
WHEREAS, Will has a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Central Missouri where he graduated summa cum laude; and,
WHEREAS, Will's public service includes serving for six years as a representative in the Missouri House of Representatives representing the 48th District; and,
WHEREAS, Will is supported in his achievements in public service by his wife Carmen and his sons Tylor and Tannor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Will Kraus on his election to the Missouri State Senate representing the 8th District, and wishes him much success in the future.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
