Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 15473, dated April 25, 2005, the County did award a two-year term and supply contract for the furnishing of drug treatment services for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Drug Court program to Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of RFP No. 65-04, as the best overall bid; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16216, dated March 19, 2007, the County did extend the contract for an additional twelve months, at the same unit costs, commencing April 1, 2007 and terminating March 31, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing now recommends a twelve-month extension of the contract, with Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City, MO, again at the existing unit costs, commencing April 1, 2008, and terminating March 31, 2009; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute an appropriate Addendum to the term and supply contract with Kansas City Community Center of Kansas City, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and all extensions thereto, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
