A RESOLUTION transferring $41,265.00 within the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and awarding a three-year lease on Request for Proposals No. 131-95 for the furnishing of office space for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for its Drug Court Program to Tidwell Company of Overland Park, KS, acting as agent for Fourteen-Fifteen McGee Street, Inc., in the actual amount of $91,109.56 for 1996, and a total cost of $564,720.66, over the life of the lease including all renewal terms.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written proposals on Request for Proposals No. 131-95 for the furnishing of office space for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for its Drug Court Program; and,
WHEREAS, the only proposal received was from Tidwell Company of Overland Park, KS, acting as agent for Fourteen-Fifteen McGee Street, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends award of the lease to Tidwell Company as its was the lowest and best proposal received; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1996 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary to cover the cost of this lease; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1996 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the lease, subject to annual appropriation.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
