Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 2836, Jackson County Code, 1984, the City of Greenwood, Missouri, has requested the use of its County Urban Road System (CURS) account funds in the amount of $63,614.00 to cover costs of the City's road improvement program for Ranson Road, Allendale Drive, and Huntington Drive; and,
WHEREAS, these roads are part of the CURS system; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature finds that the road maintenance program proposed by the City will benefit the citizens of Greenwood and the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that, pursuant to Chapter 28, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to issue a check in the amount of $63,614.00 as a lump-sum payment to the City of Greenwood for use in the City's road improvement program.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
