Body
WHEREAS, Section 1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1063.00 of the Code requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends a contract with Instruments SA, Incorporated, of Edison, New Jersey, for the purchase of one Mini Crime Scope for use by the Medical Examiner's Office; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director further recommends that it not take competitive bids with regard to said contract for the reason that Instruments SA, Incorporated, of Edison, New Jersey, is the only supplier of this particular scope; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County a contract with Instruments SA, Incorporated, of Edison, New Jersey, for the purchase of one Mini Crime Scope for the Medical Examiner's Office, in an amount not to exceed $10,440.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract thereby made...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
