Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16162 dated February 12, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Old Northeast, Inc., ("Old Northeast") of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $42,200.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16162 dated February 12, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Historic Northeast Restoration Corp. ("Historic Northeast"), of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $41,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Historic Northeast Board of Directors met on May 17, 2007, and voted to cease operations effective July 31, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, the contract between the County and Historic Northeast executed on May 11, 2007, is no longer valid; and,
WHEREAS, Old Northeast is willing to assume the duties of Historic Northeast and accept the appropriated outside agency funding in the amount of $20,750.00; and
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to fund this expense; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2007 General Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with Old Northeast of Kansas City, MO, at no additional cost to the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
