Body
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Department's cooperative advertising campaign is a program through which participating communities contribute resources which are combined with those of the County for advertising design, placement, and related services; and,
WHEREAS, those agencies and municipalities desiring to participate in this program are the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, City of Independence, City of Lee's Summit, City of Blue Springs, City of Grandview, City of Sugar Creek, and City of Buckner; and,
WHEREAS, funding for the cooperative advertising campaign shall be in the following amounts:
Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City $5,000.00
City of Independence $5,000.00
City of Lee's Summit $5,000.00
City of Blue Springs $3,000.00
City of Grandview $3,000.00
City of Sugar Creek $1,500.00
City of Buckner $1,500.00
and,
WHEREAS, the execution of Cooperative Agreements with these agencies and cities is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Cooperative Agreements with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, City of Independence, City of Lee's Summit, City of Blue Springs, City of Grandview, City of Sugar Creek, and City of Buckner, in the aggregate amount of $24,000.00, in a form substantially similar to that attached.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
