Body
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner's Office is located in a building currently owned by Truman Medical Center (TMC); and,
WHEREAS, TMC is in the process of selling this building to Children's Mercy Hospital; and,
WHEREAS, Children's Mercy Hospital has agreed to allow the Medical Examiner's Office to remain in its current space for a two-year period, at a cost of $1.00 per year, to allow the County adequate time to seek an alternative permanent location; and,
WHEREAS, this lease agreement is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute on behalf of the County with Children's Mercy Hospital, a two-year lease agreement and any other documents necessary to give effect to this Resolution., in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
