Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17140 and Resolution 17141, dated January 19, 2010, and by Resolution 17154, dated February 1, 2010,  the Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies which engage in prevention, treatment, and other anti-drug initiatives through December 31, 2010; and,
 
WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to extend for an additional four months, through April 30, 2011, the existing agreements of the outside agencies listed below, engaged in prevention, treatment, and other anti-drug initiatives, at no additional cost to the County:
AGENCY
                        United Inner City Services
                        Emmanuel Family and Child Development Center
                        Neighborhood Services
                        Mattie Rhodes Center
                        Genesis School
 
and,
 
WHEREAS, the recommended extension will allow these agencies to utilize the allocation provided to them in 2010, but which they have encountered delays in spending; now therefore,
      
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute extensions to the agreements with the outside agencies listed above, until April 30, 2011, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
