AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established by the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 20.8 ± acres from District A (Agricultural) to RR (Residential Ranchette) District and approving the preliminary plat "John's Hedgewood Acres," creating a four-lot residential subdivision.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description:  A 20.8 ± acre tract of land generally located on the south side of Stringtown Road near the intersection with Gammon Road and specifically described as follows:

 

LOTS 1 & 2; Beginning at a point 40 feet east of the NW corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 33, Township 47, Range 30 (as described in State Document # 600-52676) in Jackson County, Missouri; said point being on the North Line of said NE 1/4; thence N 89° 54' 35" E along said North Line for 593.56 feet; thence S 2° 26' 09"W for 715.00 feet; thence S 89° 54' 35" W for 673.36 feet; thence N 8 ° 46' 07" E for 722.97 feet to the point of beginning.  Containing 10.39 acres.

 

LOTS 3 & 4; Beginning at a point 693.62 feet east of the NW corner of the NE 1/4 of Section 33, Township 47, Range 30 (as described in State Document # 600-52676) in Jackson County, Missouri; said point being on the North Line of said NE 1/4; thence N 89° 54' 35" E along said North Line for 634.00 feet to the NE corner of the NW 1/4 of said NE 1/4; thence S. 2° 26' 09" W for 715.04 feet; thence S 89° 54' 35" W for 634.00 feet; thence N 2° 26' 09" for 715.04 feet to the point of beginning.  Containing 10.39 acres.

 

 

Section 2.  The preliminary plat "John's Hedgewood Acres," creating a four-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.

Section 3.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of by John and Carolyn Hedgecock (RZ-2002-274), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on July 18, 2002, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
