RESOLUTION NO. 22392, September 9, 2026

 

INTRODUCED BY Venessa Huskey, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has a need for X-ray inspection system equipment for the entrance at the Jackson County Downtown Courthouse to replace existing equipment; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the purchase of the needed X-ray inspection system equipment from Smiths Detection of Edgewood, MD, under the terms and conditions of GSA Contract No. GS-07F-081DA, an existing, competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $87,710.00; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED that award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Sheriff and Interim Director Finance and Purchasing and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
