Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written proposals under Request for Proposal No. 34-07 for the furnishing of investment advisor services for the Jackson County, Missouri Employees' Pension Plan; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-seven (37) solicitations were distributed, and nine (9) responses were received from the following:

Dahab Associates, Bay Shore, NY
Gray and Company, Atlanta, GA
Fiduciary Consultants, St. Louis, MO
Becker, Burke, Chicago, IL
Milliman, Shawnee Mission, KS
Callan Associates, Chicago, IL
Summit Strategies, St. Louis, MO
and,
WHEREAS, after interviews of the four firms deemed best qualified by an evaluation committee, and follow-up negotiations, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract to Callan Associates of Chicago, IL, at a first-year cost not to exceed $85,000.00, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 34-07, for the reason that it has submitted the best overall proposal; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This expenditure will be made from funds in custody of M&I Bank as Trustee. The source of these funds is the Jackson County, Missouri Revised Pension Plan. This Revenue Certificate is not signed by the Director of Finance and Purchasing because such funds are not subject to annual appropriation and not within his custody.
