AN ORDINANCE appropriating $18,822.84 from the fund balance of the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and transferring $56,468.53 within the 2009 Anti-Drug Grant Fund in acceptance of the Jackson County Drug Task Force's grant received from the U.S. Department of Justice JAG Program.

Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $56,468.53; and,
WHEREAS, the grants proceeds will be used to purchase surveillance devices, antennas for the devices, a gas monitoring system for the meth lab clean-up, office chairs, and will fund one full time contract chemist; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $18,822.84; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
