AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established by the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 15 ± acres from District A (Agricultural) to District RE              (Residential Estates) District.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

                     

The 15 ± acres are generally located 1/4 ± of a mile south of Adams Cemetery Road on the west side of Buckner Tarsney Road and specifically described as a part of the N.W. 1/4 of the N.W. 1/4 of Section 10, Township 47, Range 30 in Jackson County, Missouri being described as follows: commencing at the N.W. corner of said 1/4 1/4; thence S 1 ̊ 54' 50" W for 895.00 feet along the West line of said 1/4 1/4 to the true point of beginning for this tract; thence N 89̊ 49'  50" E (parellel to the North Line of said 1/4 1/4) for 935.00 feet; thence N 1̊ 54' 50" E for 235.00; thence N 89̊ 49'50" E for 385.92 feet (deed = 385.00 feet) to the East Line of said 1/4 1/4; thence S 1̊ 58' 24" W for 666.61 feet (deed = 660.00 feet), to the S.E. corner of said 1/4 1/4; thence S 89̊ 57' 19" W for 1320.14 feet (deed = 1320 feet) to the S.W. corner of said 1/4 1/4; thence N 1̊ 54' 50" E for 428.68 feet to the point of beginning aka 11622 S. Buckner Tarsney Road.

 

Section 2.  The Jackson County Plan Commission, on April 21, 2005, held a public hearing and accepted testimony pertaining to the change of zoning requested by Dale Pratt.  This request is consistent with the intent and purpose of the Master Plan, therefore, the Plan Commission voted 8 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL to the County Legislature.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
