Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Detention Center desires to retain a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) testing monitor to be available on-site to assist inmates who have prepared to take the General Equivalency Test; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Corrections has reviewed the proposal submitted by Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri, to provide these services for one year, and recommends funding in the amount of $1,500.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement with Junior College District of Metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement, provided that sufficient appropriations are included in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
