Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 123-01 for the furnishing of truck accessory parts for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, he has recommended that the contract be split and awarded to the vendors submitting the low bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR ESTIMATED AWARD
American Equipment Co. $11,000
Kansas City, KS
Knapheide Truck Equipment 3,000
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Total $14,000
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
