Title

AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette) a certain 19.8 ± acre tract for a three-lot residential subdivision.

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

                     Description:

                     

The 19.8 ± acres are located approximately 1/4 ± of a mile West of BB Highway on the North side of Burgess Road and specifically described as all of the West half of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 34, Township 50, Range 30, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:

 

Description: Commencing at the Southwest corner of said half quarter quarter section; thence North 00̊31'57" West, along the West line of said half quarter quarter section, a distance of 1315.99 feet to the Northwest corner thereof; thence North 89̊27'39" East, along the North line of said half quarter quarter section, a distance of 655.84 feet to the Northeast corner thereof, thence South 00̊29'46" East, along the East line of said half quarter quarter section, a distance of 1316.89 feet to the Southeast corner thereof; thence South 89̊27'39" West, along the South line of said half quarter quarter section, a distance of 655.01 feet to the point of beginning of the herein described tract of land.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Stephen Birkes (RZ-2007-446), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on February 21, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
