Body
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City's "Blue Hills Together Americorps" program is a nationally recognized program whose efforts increase public safety; and,
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has received a state grant from the Missouri Community Service Commission in the amount of $203,515.00, as well as funding from YouthNet in the amount of $103,364.00, and the YMCA has pledged in-kind services in the amount of $4,532.00, for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $50,878.00 to continue the program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $50,878.00 from her grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
