Body
WHEREAS, Christ Temple Church plans to sponsor the "Meet Me in the Middle Peace Coalition Seminar," a two-day event which will reach at-risk youth, ages 12-15, by using arts and entertainment as an alternative to drugs and violence; and,
WHEREAS, Christ Temple Church has requested County Anti-Drug Sales Tax matching funds in the amount of $4,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, these funds will be used as the local match to a grant from the City of Kansas City, MO in the amount of $4,500.00 for the "Meet Me in the Middle Peace Coalition Seminar;" and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, with Christ Temple Church for the "Meet Me in the Middle Peace Coalition Seminar;" and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
