BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
The 9 ± acres are generally located 1/4 + mile east of Truman Road on the south side of Oakland School Road and specifically described as a part of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 10, Township 49, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:
Description: Commencing at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of said Section 10; thence north 88̊35'18" west along the north line of the northwest quarter, 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence south 01̊55'01" west, 673.37 feet; thence north 88̊35'18" west, 187.50 feet; thence north 01̊55'01" east, 330.37 feet; thence north 88̊35'18" west, 448.21 feet; thence north 01̊55'01" east, 343.00 feet to a point on the north line of said northwest quarter; thence south 88̊35'18" east along the north line of said northwest quarter, 635.71 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 6.42 acres, more or less.
ALSO: Commencing at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of said Section 10; thence north 88̊35'18" west along the north line of the northwest quarter, 1063.51 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence south 01̊58'02" west, 673.37 feet; thence north 88̊35'18" west, 195.01 feet; thence north 01̊58'02" east, 673.37 feet to the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of said northwest quarter; thence south 88̊35'18" east along the north line of said northwest quarter, 195.01 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 3.01 acres, more or less.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Wayne Francis (RZ-2008-451), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on May 15, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
