IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding term and supply contracts on Electronic Solicitations Nos. BB200344, 5, 6, and 7 for the furnishing of inmate clothing for use by the Corrections Department to Robinson Textiles of Gardena, CA ($62,252.80), Uniforms Manufacturing of Scottsdale, AZ ($47,127.35), and Leslee Scott of Ogden, UT ($7,638.10), to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $117,018.25.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitations Nos. BB200344, 5, 6, and 7 for the furnishing of inmate clothing for use by the Corrections Department; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the estimated amounts for the respective vendors as follows:

Uniforms Manufacturing $47,127.35
Scottsdale, AZ
Leslee Scott $7,638.10
Ogden, UT
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agency are contained in the annual County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
