Body

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department and the Parks and Recreation Department are in need of petroleum products; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month Term and Supply Contract for the furnishing of petroleum products to Heathwood Oil, Inc. of Kansas City, KS and Champion Brands, LLC of Clinton, MO for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments under the terms and conditions of the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) Kansas City Regional Purchasing Council (KCRPC) contract Bid No. 02/1R; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1064. Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1064. The Director of Purchasing recommends the award to be made under the following contract:

therefore, 

 

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Heathwood Oil Co. of Kansas City, KS under the terms and conditions of the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) Kansas City Regional Purchasing Council (KCRPC) contract Bid No. 02/1R and Champion Brands, LLC of Clinton under the terms and conditions of the Mid America Regional Council (MARC) Kansas City Regional Purchasing Council (KCRPC) contract Bid No. 02/1R, as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
