AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 3 + acre tract.

ORDINANCE 3073, October 9, 2000

 

 

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

A 3 ± acre tract of land that is east of and will be replatted into Lot 2 of Currigan Lake Subdivision.  Currigan Lake Subdivision is generally located 4/10 of a mile west of Arnette Road on the north side of Major Road.  The 3 ± acres is specifically described:

                                                                                    

A parcel of land in the Northeast and Northwest Quarters of Section 16, Township 48N, Range 30W, in Jackson  County, Missouri described as follows:  BEGINNING at the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 16-48-30; thence N 88 degrees 21 minutes 31 seconds W along the north line of said quarter quarter section, a distance of 99.00 feet to a point on the east line of CURRIGAN LAKE, a subdivision of Record; thence S 01 degrees 55 minutes 25 seconds W along said east line a distance of 303.78 feet; thence N 72 degrees 13 minutes 12 seconds E, a distance of 142.90 feet; thence S 58 degrees 06 minutes 04 seconds E; a distance of 146.99 feet; thence S 88 degrees 25 minutes 48 seconds E, a distance of 168.59 feet; thence N 01 degrees 53 minutes 12 seconds E, a distance of 330.53 feet to a point on the north line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 16-48-30; thence N 88 degrees 25 minutes 48 seconds W, along said north line, a distance of 331.24 feet (deed= 331.88 feet) to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Barry Sanders (RZ-2000-204), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on September 21, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
