WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, has awarded a Child Protection Center grant in the amount of $147,138.00 to the Family Court Division to cover the salary and benefits of personnel for its Child Assessment Program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Grant Fund:
