Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has recommended a Cooperative Agreement with Omega 7, Inc., for a COMBAT sponsorship which includes the display of the COMBAT logo on an vehicle to promote the prevention of drug-related crimes at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the display of the COMBAT logo on an anti-crime vehicle will be a promotional tool to encourage citizens to give tips about local drug-related crimes; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Jackson County that COMBAT sponsor this vehicle to provide anti-crime and anti-drug awareness to the community's youth; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County a Cooperative Agreement with Omega 7, Inc., of Kansas City, KS, at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make payment which will be due upon execution of the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
