IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

 

Title

AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 5.00± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette).

ORDINANCE NO. 6099, June 22, 2026

 

 

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RR” (Residential Ranchette) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RR a 5.00± tract of land located at 13604 S. Sam Moore Road in Jackson County, MO, legally described as follows:

 

Description: All that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 47, Range 29, Jackson County Missouri, being described as follows:

Commencing at the Northeast Corner of said Northeast Quarter of the Southeast

Quarter of said Section; thence South 02 degrees 37 minutes 03 seconds East, 672.53

feet, the Point of Beginning; thence N 87 degrees 47 minutes 20 seconds West, 633.89

feet; thence North 02 degrees 37 minutes 03 seconds East, 343.60 feet; thence South

87 degrees 47 minutes 20 minutes East, 633.89 feet to a point on the East line of said

Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; thence South 02 degrees 37 minutes 03

seconds East, 343.60 feet to the Point of Beginning, except part in road.

 

 

 

 

 

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Lucinda Lariviere and Bynum Enterprises, (RZ-2026-716), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 7 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on May 21, 2026, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
