IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a contract with Restart, Inc., for the purpose of providing housing services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs, at a cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION #12239, June 1, 1998 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of the County approved imposition of a sales tax for seven years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended a contract out of anti-drug sales tax funds with Restart, Inc., for the purpose of providing housing services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with Restart, Inc., for the purpose of providing housing services, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
