Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County has been awarded $98,440.00 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the partial funding of three (3) full-time prosecutors for a project with a total cost of $190,928.00 and which requires matching funds of $92,488.00; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is to prevent and prosecute sexual assaults in the County; and,
WHEREAS, the grant term is from January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2005 Grant Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2005 Grant Fund be and are hereby made:
