Body
WHEREAS, St. Pius X High School freshman Nicola Grabo Sarro has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized on November 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Nick began scouting as a Cub Scout and Weblos Scout in Pack 80; and,
WHEREAS, Nick is currently a member of Troop 80 and has held leadership positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, at St. Pius X High School, Nick is on the freshman football team, and works hard to balance his studies with the other extracurricular activities he is involved in; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout project, Nick benefitted the Budd Park Christian Church Youth Center; and,
WHEREAS, Nick is a "Fire builder" in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Boy Scout Honor Program, his tribal name is "Little Fierce Eagle Under Clouded Sky," he has attended camp at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for the past six years, and he has earned a total of 36 merit badges; and,
WHEREAS, Nick's parents, Francesca and Philip, and his siblings, Pasqua, Dambiana, Ana, and Frank, join in Nick's celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Nicola Grabo Sarro upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
