WHEREAS, the Legislature's Rules Committee has met regularly over the course of the last year for the purpose of promulgating a handbook for employees of the Legislature, Clerk of the Legislature, and Legislative Auditor; and,
WHEREAS, the Rules Committee has completed its work and now recommends the adoption of its proposed "Employee's Guide to Employment, " for these employees, which is on file with the Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, this guide is intended to supplement the Jackson County Personnel Rules and County Code, which will prevail in the event of a conflict with the guide; and,
WHEREAS, the adoption of this guide is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the county; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Employee's Guide to Employment for employees of the Legislature, Clerk of the Legislature, and Legislative Auditor, now on file with the Clerk, be and hereby is adopted...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
